I wanted to share another favorite find from the little French Sale I went to recently. I've been wanting one of these french body pitchers and i was thrilled to find one in it's original galvanized state.
I have quite a few galvanized pieces in my laundry room so this is where this beauty ended up holding some dried lavendar...yum! It smells so good. I love how it looks sitting in front of this old shutter. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I have been wanting to share photos of our laundry room, but still need to paint the cabinets in there...I'm thinking maybe a gray. Any suggestions?

Are the cabinets stained now? if so, you might want to sand a little and try minwax greyed oak-lets the wood come through, but with a great greyed patina much like restoration hardware's pieces. Their finishes are terrific. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteGrays are really hot at my store right now! I love the shades of gray, so I say, "go for it"!
ReplyDeleteTake care my friend,
Sue

ReplyDeleteLove the way it looks near the shutter....I am thinking of grey for my cupboards too.
Which grey are you considering?....so many...I am conflicted with Grey of white...but grey is so soothing!
Loving the patina on that shutter and the pitcher looks perfect in front of it :)

I love lavender and it looks beautiful in that old pitcher! I think Paris Gray would be beautiful in our laundry room. But I would paint a sample on the wall first and check the light during the day to see how it would really look. Or on the cabinets...that is what you said i think.

Hi- sorry to be the bearer of bad news but a blog is ripping off your content and passing it as their own. I am furious, they did it to a mate's blog and when I went to look, I googled a line from another of their posts I suspected was copied(one about industrial charm in kitchens), it came back to an old post of yours. I would report them to blogger if I were you. This is the offending site: http://vintage-plus-web.blogspot.com/2012/02/industrial-charm.html
ReplyDeleteThank you for bringing this to my attention. Not sure what t odo about it, but I went through and saw several of my posts on this blog. I guess I will try to contact Blogger or maybe Google regarding this.
ReplyDeleteKathleen
You Have the prettiest treasures!!
ReplyDeleteI would love if you link this to the French party on Monday!
